Unfortunately, the lion’s share of commonly used ceramic pigments contains toxic metals or requires high temperatures and enormous energy consumption for their production. In this view, the research at our department is focused on economisation of the pigment production, developing new environmentally friendly pigments and on improving pigment performing characteristics and glazing technology.
