eng Application of TA Methods in the Field of Ceramic Pigments Ceramic pigments are an integral part of a range of decorative and protective coatings which are widely used in various technological areas. Unfortunately, the lion’s share of commonly used ceramic pigments contains toxic metals or requires high temperatures and enormous energy consumption for their production. In this view, the research at our department is focused on economisation of the pigment production, developing new environmentally friendly pigments and on improving pigment performing characteristics and glazing technology. Therefore, in our work, the application of thermal analysis methods is versatile and involves several aspects, the most important of which are outlined below.
