eng Reactivity of germylene stabilized by boraguanidinate ligand with CC and NC unsaturated systems Tetrylenes containing boraguanidinate ligand in their structures represent a relatively unexplored branch of organometallic chemistry. However, high reactivity of these compounds to various substrates is expected due to the presence of free electron pair and vacant p-orbital on the central Group 14 atom. This study is focused on the reactivity of germylene 1 with butadienes, acetylenes and isonitriles RNC (Scheme 1). Reactions of germylene 1 with butadienes lead to the formation of spirocyclic compounds and with symmetrically or non-symmetrically substituted acetylenes to the formation of cyclodigermabutenes. The interesting aspect is that the structure of products in the reactions of germylene 1 with variously substituted isonitriles RNC depends on the electronic and steric properties of the substituents R.
