eng Salicylanilides from Dihalogenated Salicylic Acids: A Comparison Study over Their Monohalogenated Analogues against Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. As a continuation of our previous studies, we report here the synthesis of new salicylanilide derivatives containing two halogens at the salicylic part. The antimycobacterial activity of the new molecules against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (including multidrug-resistant strains), as well as their cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells were evaluated and compared with their mono-halogenated analogues.
