eng COMPARISON OF Mg-Al AND Mg-Fe MIXED OXIDES IN TRANSESTERIFICATION OF RAPEDSEED WITH METHANOL Hydrotalcites were prepared by co-precipitation method in constant pH. Mg-Al and Mg-Fe mixed oxides were prepared by calcination at 450 °C and 500 °C, respectively. The layered structure of hydrotalcites and structure of mixed oxides was confirmed by XRD and also by UV-VIS of Mg-Fe hydrotalcites. The amount of main product (methylesters - biodiesel) depends on the acid-based properties of catalysts. It was found, that the molar ration of Mg/M3+ has influence on activity of catalyst. The increase molar ratio Mg/M3+ increased amount of methylester for both catalysts until molar ratio four. Increasing amount of Mg in catalysts decreased the amount of methylester. The catalytic properties of studied catalysts were compared with their acid-based properties (TPDCO2) and texture properties (BET, TGA, SEM).
