eng Intercalates of Porphyrines with Zirconium Sulfophenylphosphonates: Relation Between Their Structure, Optical Properties and Amount of Sulfogroups Intercalation of 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine and zinc 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine into three mixed zirconium sulfophenylphosphonates is described. All three hosts are able to intercalate both porphyrins, the amount of intercalated guests and their orientation depends on the amount of acidic groups. Porphyrin molecules are not aggregated in the intercalates, they exhibit fluorescence and are able to generate singlet oxygen. zirkonium phosphonates; porphyrine; intercalation
