Studovaná sloučenina představuje velmi vzácný fosfát - získala se pouze dvakrát za použití reakce v pevné fázi mezi Na3PO4 a Co3(PO4)2 nebo tavením NaNO3/Co2P4O12. V naší studii jsme pro syntézu Na9Co3(PO4)5 použili reakci v pevné fázi mezi Na2CO3, CoCO3 a (NH4)2HPO4, nicméně výchozí stechiometrie reakční směsi byla změněna, aby se nezískal produkt čisté fáze Na9Co3(PO4)5, ale jeho směs s Na3PO4, Na4P2O7 nebo NaPO3. Posun molárního poměru mezi počátečními činidly podpořil nízkoteplotní tavení systému, což zvýšilo reaktivitu a zrychlilo chemické přeměny ve směsi. Po kalcinaci byla nečistota fosforečnanu sodného snadno odstraněna ze směsi promytím. Takovýto syntézní přístup, který lze označit jako "interní mineralizaci", nebyl dříve popsán a je poprvé schválen na našem pracovišti. Získaný produkt čisté fáze Na9Co3(PO4)5 má brilantní modro-purpurovou barvu a zlepšenou termickou stabilitu. Oba důsledky lze vysvětlit tvorbou strukturních defektů, nejpravděpodobněji Na-defektů. eng New Approach to the Synthesis of Rare Phosphate Na9Co3(PO4)5 and its Advantages in View of Thermal and Optical Properties of the Product The main focus of this contribution is on unusual approach to the synthesis of Na9Co3(PO4)5 and the benefits which it brings regarding the colour properties and thermal stability of this phosphate. The studied compound represents a very rare phosphate-it was obtained before only twice using solid-state reaction between Na3PO4 and Co3(PO4)2 or NaNO3/Co2P4O12 melt. In our study, for the synthesis of Na9Co3(PO4)5 we have used a solid-state reaction between Na2CO3, CoCO3 and (NH4)2HPO4; however, the initial stoichiometry of the reaction mixture was changed in order to obtain not pure phase product of Na9Co3(PO4)5, but its mixture with Na3PO4, Na4P2O7 or NaPO3. The shift of molar ratio between the initial reagents promoted low temperature melting of the system which increased reactivity and accelerated chemical transformations in the mixture. After the calcination, sodium phosphate impurity was easily removed from the mixture by washing. Such synthesis approach, which can be referred as "internal mineralising", has not been reported before and is approved for the first time at our department. The obtained pure phase product of Na9Co3(PO4)5 has a brilliant blue-magenta colour and improved thermal stability.
