eng Brown Pigments Based on Perovskite Structure of BiFeO3 Present work contains results regarding to synthesis of inorganic pigments based on BiFeO3 doped by Sr2+ cations. Pigments of general formula Bi1-xSrxFeO3, where x = 0 - 0.4, were synthesized by solid state reaction by calcination at 900 and 1000 °C. The temperature sufficient for complete reaction course was set up by simultaneous TG/DTA measurements. The increase of calcining temperature caused the creation of pigments with darker and more reddish colour hue. Increasing content of stroncium cation up to 25 mol % is connected with increase of colour parameters (a*) and (b*) and lightness (L*).
