eng Preparation and Thermal Decomposition of Carbonate and Oxalate Intermediates in Perovskites Preparation Synthesis of LaMnO3 and LaCoO3 (in some samples, the part of La was substituted) was studied in this work. Thermal decomposition of carbonate or oxalate intermediates was studied by simultaneous thermal analysis DTA/TG. The minimum temperature required for formation of the final compounds was obtained on the basis of evaluated thermoanalytical curves. The prepared powders were compared with regard to particle size distribution, specific surface area values and the colour properties with the materials prepared by solid state reaction (classical ceramic method). It was also observed the change of these properties depending on increasing calcination temperature. An important characteristic of prepared materials is the thermal stability, which was evaluated by heating microscope.
