Proto bylo nutné nalézt nové technologie a metody výroby, pomocí nichž byly pigmenty vyráběny uměle. S postupem času se upravilo také složení pigmentů, protože v současné době je kladen velký důraz na jejich hygienickou a ekologickou nezávadnost. eng	Inorganic Pigments: from Prehistory to the Present	The contribution deals with the utilization of pigments from prehistory to the present age. In the prehistoric period, pigments of a natural character, such as clays or ores mixed with fat, have been used. But with the development of human culture and technique, consumption of these pigments also grew. Therefore, it was necessary to find new technologies and methods of production by which pigments were artificially manufactured. Over time, the composition of pigments has also been modified, as the emphasis is now on their hygiene and ecological safety.
