eng Reactivity of boraguanidinato-stabilized germylene with unsaturated CC systems High reactivity of tetrylenes to various substrates is expected due to the presence of free electron pair and vacant p-orbital on the central Group 14 atom. One of the few tetrylenes containing in its structure boraguanidinate ligand which was structurally characterized is our germylene 1. This study is focused on the reactions of germylene 1 with substituted alkynes and dialkynes which lead in case of aliphatic or aromatic substituted alkynes or dialkynes (with and without molecular spacer) to form cyclodigermabutenes and with alkynes substituted by one or two carbonyl functional groups to form unexpected compounds with interesting structure.
