eng	Study of nonstoichiometry of Indium in CuInTe2 and its influence to thermoelectric properties of CuInTe2	CuInTe2 belongs to the group of ternary chalcopyrites of the type I-III-VI2 (where I = Cu, Ag; III = Al, Ga, In; VI = S, Se, Te). This group of materials represents wide group of semiconductors which could have applications in optoelectronics or photovoltaics. Recently published papers study ternary chalcopyrites as interesting thermoelectric materials in mean temperature range. Maximum values of parameter ZT were found as 0.77 for Ag0.95GaTe2 for 850 K, 1.4 for CuGaSe2 for 950 K and 1.18 for CuInTe2 for 850 K. By doping of Indium sublattice 40% increase of ZT in temperature range 300-675 K was found. Decrease of Cu content create free holes and the sample Cu1-xInTe2 for x = 0.1 reaches ZT value 0.54 for 710 K. Compound CuInTe2 allows relatively large deviations from stoichiometry due to the low energies of formation of native defects. This work is devoted to the systematic study of the effect of nonstoichiometry of Indium on the transport and thermoelectric properties of the CuIn1-xTe2 system. For this purpose polycrystalline samples of the system CuIn1-xTe2 for x = -0.01; 0.00; 0.01; 0.02; 0.03; 0.04; 0.05 and 0.06 were prepared by hot-pressing method and this work describes and attempts to interpret, how changes in Indium content affects electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficient, thermal conductivity, and Hall coefficient, with use of theoretical works on native defects of these systems.
