eng Antimicrobial effect of natural extracts obtained from plant material Recently, medical plants and their extracts have gained importance as potential antibacterial agents. Secondary metabolites of plants including tannins, flavonoids and alkaloids have been found to possess antimicrobial properties in vitro.
