eng COMPLEXES OF VARIOUS NON-TRANSITION METALS CONTAINING N,N-CHELATING LIGAND WITH POTENTIAL P=S DONOR SITES Five-membered chelate rings of the type C2N2M belong to the most common structural motifs in coordination chemistry ranging from simple ethylenediamine complexes to complicated clusters. The change of substituents of the nitrogen atoms offers simple tuning of both steric and electronic properties of each ligand. Over the last decade, ligands bearing phosphane moieties have caught considerable attention mostly in transition metal chemistry.1However, possibility to introduce additional donor moieties in the form of chalcogen atom was described only scarcely in the literature.2,3 Herein, we report on preparation of novel ligand precursor (Picture) and its use for preparation of main group metal complexes. Further reactivity and possible use of products will also be discussed.
