Organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) attract considerable attention because of their potential for versatile applications, for instance in flexible electronics. Active, white light emitting, materials are mostly based on a combination of different emitters such as red, blue and green. In this study, triphenylamine-derived emitters bearing one, two or three terminal pyridine/pyridinium units connected by various π-bridges were investigated.
