eng Indenyl Complexes of Molybdenum and Tungsten with Strong Intramolecular Coordination The following post is focused on the synthesis of bis(acetonitrile) complexes of group 6 metals bearing kinetically stabilized indenyl with intramolecularly coordinated quinolyl group. These compounds are formed upon a protonation of the allyl starting compound with strong acid ). In this work, we further investigate the mechanism of allyl protonation and we were able to isolate and characterize structurally unprecedented reaction intermediate with protonated allyl ligand. The multinuclear NMR spectroscopy confirms coordination of the propene as well as bonding mode of the indenyl. Furthermore, the proposed structure of the intermediate was confirmed using X-ray diffraction analysis. indenyl; molybdenum
