eng Voltammetric determination of paclobutrazol by using a boron doped diamond electrode Growth regulators are widely used in agriculture and horticulture. These substances have a wide range of effects such as stimulating or suppressing the growth of a stem and root, regulating stem's thickness and flowering, preventing leaf and fruit from falling off etc [1,2]. My work was focused on the development of a voltametric method for the determination of paclobutrazole, which is a representative of triazole compounds. The triazole compounds are able to protect plants from the stressful environmental conditions such as drought, extreme temperature, sulphur dioxide gas and fungal infections [3]. Due to its widespread use, paclobutrazole reaches almost all environmental compartments that`s why its content must be constantly monitored. The determination of paclobutrazol was performed by differential pulse voltammetry using BDDE as an indicator electrode. The analysis were performed in an alkaline basic electrolyte of 0.07 mol.l-1 NaOH in the presence of 33% acetonitrile. Quantitative determination of paclobutrazol was tested in three concentrations, namely 2.23 µg / ml, 0.56 µg / ml and 0.22 µg / ml. The accompanying component of paclobutrazol in the actual preparation TOPREX - difenoconazole was also analyzed. The quantitative determination of difenoconazole was tested in the concentration range from 1.18 to 9.41 µg / ml. The determination of the both substances was tested on model samples at first. Then an analysis of an actual TOPREX sample was performed. The found values were in good conformity with the declared contents.
