eng	Polycyclic Cp-annelated 1,2,3-diazapnictoles	A series of the hitherto unknown 2H-1,2,3-diazaphosphole and corresponding 2H-1,2,3-diazaarsole derivatives bearing C–C annelated cyclopentadiene have been prepared and fully characterized. Such compounds can be easily deprotonated yielding deeply colored planar heteroaromatic anions with extensive delocalization of electron density. The use of heterocycle-fused cyclopentadienides as promising precursors of heterocene complexes was examined. The reactivity, structure and spectroscopic properties of all prepared compounds is discussed in this contribution.	1,2,3-diazapnictoles
