eng Catalytic Behavior of Palladium Clusters Encapsulated Within Zeolites Noble metal clusters have attracted increasing attention due to their unique properties and capabilities as heterogeneous catalysts. Concerning the instability of nanoparticles (NPs), encapsulation of the metal nanoparticles within the zeolite framework can protect such species against aggregation and sintering. Therefore, in this research the catalytic behavior of Pd NPs loaded into MWW and MFI zeolites via encapsulation and impregnation was studied. STEM confirmed that the metal NPs were successfully embedded into zeolites pores. Encapsulated catalysts exhibited higher activity and stability compared to the impregnated counterparts, as the confinement protected the NPs against aggregation and helped accessibility of the active sites for the feed. catalysts; zeolites; Pd; catalytic behavior
