cze HMX: Je opravdu méně výkonnější v souvislosti s parametry vzdušných rázových vln?¨ HMX se používá jak ve vojenské tak v civilní sféře. Bylo vytvořeno jako nástupce podobného nitraminu -RDX. Vzhledem k detonačním parametrům by jeden předpokládal vyšší výkon HMX v souvislosti s parametry vzdušných rázových vln tj. pozitivní peak přetlak a impuls. Nicméně ve veřejně dostupné aplikaci UN Kingery-Bulmash, která slouží jako kalkulačka parametrů vzdušných rázových vln, je HMX prezentováno jako méně výkonnější výbušnina v porovnání s RDX. Rešerší dostupné literatury odhalilo, že je HMX opravdu zaznamenáváno jako méně výkonnější v souvislosti s peak přetlakem a impulsem oproti RDX. Neintuitivní výsledky nás zaujali a proto jsme se rozhodli provést sérii experimentů, ve kterých jsme za stejných podmínek porovnávali peakové přetlaky a impulsy TNT, RDX a HMX, abychom vyjasnili tento problém. eng Is Hmx Really Less Effective Than Rdx In Terms Of Air Blast Performance? HMX is used as a military and civilian explosive. It was developed as a successor to the similar nitramine - RDX. Regarding its detonation parameters, one would expect the HMX to be more performant in terms of blast wave parameters e.g., positive peak pressure and impulse. However, in the publicly accessible online application UN Kingery-Bulmash, which serves as a blast parameters calculator, the HMX is presented as a weaker explosive compared to the RDX. A review of open literature revealed that HMX is indeed reported as a less powerful in terms of peak pressure and impulse than RDX. The unintuitive results triggered our interest and we decided to perform series of tests, in which we measured pressures and impulses of TNT, RDX and HMX under the same conditions to clarify this issue.
