eng Towards Deep-Blue Emissive Polyimides with Tripodal Push-Pull Comonomers Many types of organic materials are indisputably associated with electronic devices. Various applications of these materials have been found in the field of organic electronics, and emissive ones play a special role. These are often investigated as materials suitable for applications in photovoltaics as luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs), wavelength shifters in scintillators, various types of emissive sensors or organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). As one of the three primary colours, efficient blue OLEDs are still under investigation. To obtain high colour purity, low values of full width at half maximum (FWHM) are needed. The aforementioned emissive materials can be organic chromophores, mostly push-pull chromophores, or polymeric materials. With our previous experience in the synthesis of triphenylamine (TPA) emissive chromophores, novel chromophores based on TPA and carbazole were synthesized. These chromophores were subsequently used as comonomers for synthesis of emissive polyimides (PIs). With various loadings of comonomers, transparent, colourless, and deep-blue emissive PI thin films with excellent optical properties (CIEy ≤ 0.1 and high colour purity determined by FWHM 38 resp. 42 nm) were obtained. triphenylamine; carbazole; emissive chromophore; polyimides; comonomer
