eng Anticorrosion efficiency of zinc-filled epoxy ester coatings containing conducting polymer PANI-PTSA To prevent corrosion on metal structures, various paint binders and the right anti-corrosion pigments are applied. Custom additives, fillers, and a variety of pigments can also improve the effectiveness of these coatings. One component Epoxy ester resins with zinc pigment have also been used in anticorrosive coatings due to their high performance and ease of preparation and application. Research aimed at replacing zinc with more suitable materials focuses mainly on combinations of conducting polymers, inorganic pigments, fillers, and zinc with different particle shapes. Conducting polymers especially polyaniline is particularly interesting, whose applicability in coating materials for anticorrosion protection of metals has been studied extensively in recent years. The aim of this work was to prepare a coating material with zinc pigment and coatings with conductive polymers, which would provide the information of usage of conductive polymers for corrosion protection. Polyaniline doped with p-toluene sulfonic acid (PANI-PTSA) was selected as a nonmetallic conducting material. Based on the analysis of all testing, the formulation for the epoxy ester coating system that provided the highest level of corrosion protection and mechanical resistance was chosen.
