eng COF-Supported Pd Nanoparticles as a Catalyst for Palladium Catalyzed Reactions Palladium-catalyzed reactions are among the most widely used synthetic approaches of modern organic synthesis. Besides the broadly employed homogeneous transformations, heterogenized palladium precatalysts may reduce the costs and the envionmental burdens associated with the use of heavy metals. In this context, immobilized palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) have recently attracted significant attention. Small metallic Pd nanoparticles ranging in size from 1 to 100 nm exhibit exceptional properties and can act as highly efficient catalysts in diverse chemical transformations. Many materials have been used as nanoparticle supports over the years, including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs). Herein, a novel vinylene-linked COF, CN-COF-1, will be presented as a support for in situ generated Pd nanoparticles. This palladium-functionalized Pd@CN-COF-1 was tested as a heterogeneous catalytic system for cross-coupling reactions using commercially available substrates, and its versatility was demonstrated in the synthesis of industrially and pharmacologically important substances. covalent organic frameworks; Palladium-catalyzed reactions; cross-coupling reactions
