eng Characterization and Thermal Stability of Modified Zeolite-templated Carbon Zeolite-templated carbons (ZTC) offer high surface area, microporosity and thermal stability, which can be further tuned by nitrogen or oxygen functionalization. In this study, ZTC, N-ZTC and O-ZTC were synthesized using FAU zeolite as a hard template and modified either during CVD (N-ZTC) or by oxidative post-treatment (O-ZTC). The materials were characterized by XRD, N₂ sorption, TEM and XPS, while their thermal stability—essential for catalytic applications—was evaluated by TGA/DSC. The results provide insight into how N and O functionalities influence the structural and thermal properties of ZTC materials.
