eng Structurally Tunable Main Group Metal Complexes Bearing an Electronically Versatile/Fluxional Biguanide Ligand In the past few decades, the increasingly popular and versatile guanidinate ligands were used for coordination of many transition as well as main group metals/elements. In contrast, the chemistry of biguanides and dianionic guanidinates or biguanides has been far less described[1]. In our group, we developed a doubly deprotonable biguanide ligand, capable of forming heterobimetallic species in multiple structural arrangements. Several compounds of (mostly) main group elements were synthesized, and their structure was investigated. The effect on the behavior of titled complexes in homogeneous catalysis was studied in detail. biguanide; main group metals; catalysis
