eng Green Deal: Challenge or Treat for Europe? The European Green Deal aims to achieve climate neutrality in the EU by 2050, with a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Despite global challenges in recent years, notable progress has been made—renewable energy production has increased to 46%, greenhouse gas emissions have fallen by 30%, transport emissions by 15%, and 1.2 billion trees have been planted. However, the Green Deal also faces significant obstacles, including reduced competitiveness of energy‑intensive industries, high energy costs, complex regulation, and administrative burdens for businesses. The strategy brings clear environmental benefits but is accompanied by economic, social, and political challenges. Green Deal; sustainability; gas emissions
