eng Viscosity and crystal growth in amorphous samples of Ge25Se75 chalcogenide glasses The crystal growth was observed using infrared microscopy, where the dual character of crystal shapes was observed. X-ray diffraction identified the crystals growing at lower temperatures as Ge4Se9 composition, similar with its structure to GeSe2. At the temperature of around 380 °C, both Ge4Se9 and GeSe2 crystals were observed. Above 380 °C, only GeSe2 crystals were present, which showed that Ge4Se9 started to melt and reorganize into a GeSe2 structure, which stayed present up to the melting point. viscosity; crystal growth; Ge-Se; chalcogenide glass
