The representatives of the Faculty of Chemical Technology visited the get-to-know meeting in the picturesque Mácha Region held in the White Stone Camp. Supported by the Rector’s Office of the University of Pardubice, Department of Physical Education and Sports and other faculties, the week-long event for beginning university students was held at this venue for the twelfth time. The get-to-know meeting had two rounds and was also attended by a hundred of FChT students.
The two main coordinators Jan Němec and Martin Mařík welcomed the Dean Prof. Petr Kalenda and Vice-Dean Mgr. Lucie Stříbrná on the bank of Lake Mácha where they had been eagerly awaited by the students of the first years of bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes. Their visit thus followed the tradition of the dialogue between students and the faculty management which was interrupted last year due to the pandemic situation. The purpose of this promotional activity was to establish a closer contact with students, get to know each other better, give students the opportunity to ask questions and spontaneously remove any barriers or students’ shyness in communication with academic authorities. The informal environment naturally created a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The discussions touched upon the study and life at the university, leisure activities as well as opportunities on the labour market. The open dialogue between the FChT management and students was also supported by the sunny weather so the event could take place in the open air.
We believe that the tradition of visiting students by the faculty representatives at Lake Mácha will continue in the future!
