Education: 1984 (MSc.) Organic Chemistry, VŠCHT Pardubice; 1990 Ph.D. Organic Chemistry, VŠCHT Pardubice (supervisor: Prof. V. Štěrba); 1994-1995 Postdoc position Max-Planck-Institute, Colloid Chemistry Department, Potsdam, Germany (mentor: Prof. K. Tauer); 2007 DrSc. Slovak Technical University Bratislava, Slovakia. Profesional experience: 1984 Institute of Synthetic Resins and Lacquers Pardubice research worker; since 1990 Department of Organic Chemistry of VŠCHT Pardubice (at present time University of Pardubice); 1990 Assistant Professor, 1998 Associate Professor, 2008 Full Professor of Organic Chemistry and Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology. In the years 2000 and 2002 as a visiting scientist at the Max-Planck-Institute Potsdam (project “Biomineralization”). Teaching subjects:Organic Chemistry, Organic Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry.Research interest: Synthesis Heterocyclic Compounds, Reaction Mechanisms, Enantioselective Catalysis, Recyclable Catalysts. Supervisor of successfully defended works: 13 (Bc.); diploma thesis: 22 (Ing.); dissertation thesis 9 (Ph.D.); post-doc mentor (3). Scientific works:Author and co-author scientific works published in international impacted journals (120); Nonimpact reviewed journals (9); patents (7); lecture notes (3); chapter in book (1); citations without self-citation: 916; H-index: 19 (WOS). Prize of Werner von Siemens 2012 in category mentor of the Ph.D., Synfact Journal Award 2014. Member of Editorial board of impacted journal Molecules.Scientific cooperation: Prof. Dr. Helmut Cölfen, University Konstanz, Germany.
