An important promotional event organized by the Faculty aimed at attracting talented students for study is the regional round of the Chemical Olympiad.
The Chemical Olympiad (CO) is a traditional competition for grammar school students who in addition to curricular chemistry want to improve in the field that they want to study after graduation from secondary school.
On Friday 3 December 2021 our faculty hosted the regional round of the Chemical Olympiad in Category A (last years of grammar schools) for the Pardubice and Hradec Králové Regions. The regional round of the competition included 14 contestants. The competition took place in a new format: theoretical part (3 hours) and practical part (3 hours).
The absolute winner was Tomáš Heger from Jirásek Grammar School in Náchod, the best chemist of the Pardubice Region was Kateřina Zedníčková from Vysoké Mýto Grammar School.
