  • Preparation, characterisation and applications of alkyd and epoxide resins, unsaturated polyesters, acryl emulsion copolymers and other polymers as matrixes for composite materials and binders for coating compositions.
  • Research into coating compositions and organic coatings based on solvent- and water-diluted binders with special emphasis put on protection of metal substrates against corrosion.
  • Research into new non-toxic anticorrosion pigments, inclusive of their synthesis.
  • Research on polymerisation kinetics in both homogeneous media and heterogeneous systems, copolymerisation, nucleation and growth of particles in emulsion polymerisation, cross-linking and properties of polyurethanes, polyester and epoxide resins.
  • Phase transitions in polymers, solubility parameters, structure and properties of composite materials.
  • Research on applications of aramides and co-polyamides in composite materials.
  • Synthesis, applications and evaluation of new textile dyestuffs and pigments, for dyeing both synthetic and natural fibres, dyeing and finishing of textile goods.
  • Sequestering means for pre-treatment and dyeing of fabrics and also as components of systems designed for washing textile materials.
