Description:
The planned project is focused on organic chemistry and follow-up technologies. The orientation of the planned research activities involves both pure and applied research. The project is directed to the following topical areas: synthesis of new organic compounds which are intended for study of mechanisms of their reactions as new catalysts, biologically active substances, promising colorants, compounds with well-defined optical properties, and compounds for research and development in the area of chemistry and technology of organic compounds, and explosives with regard to their safe applications. The main strategy of the project is based on the synthesis of poly-functional organic compounds directed at both the preparation of model compounds and the preparation of compounds with particular utility values. The research will make use of experimental techniques of pure and applied research, such as NMR, RTG, measurement of particle size, optical and electron microscopy, and specialized methods of measurement of application properties of compounds and materials.
