Description:
The project develops the long-term research activities of both involved departments (IOCT and IEnM) in the field of organic synthesis, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis and study of biological, physical and spectral properties of the prepared compounds - mostly containing heterocyclic skeleton. Practical aspects of the use of the prepared compounds in material applications and in energy transformation and storage are also addressed. A part of the project is specifically focused on the preparation and study of the properties of energetic materials (explosives and pyrotechnics), for which, in addition, their safe storage and practical use is an essential aspect. Consequently, a detailed analysis of the risks involved in working with these substances and the development of guidelines for the safe handling of these substances are also necessary.
