eng The Photoacoustic Examination of Functional Polymer Materials After the revolutionary discovery of conductive polymers was done in 1977, a lot of effort has been put into this new promising area of polymer chemistry. The main scientific benefits of these studies were then awarded by the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2000. Nowadays the research in the area of conductive polymers is still being continued. As examples of such polymers, the derivates of polythiophene, polyaniline and polypyrrole can be named, which are usually prepared in a form of conductive dispersions. Currently, the processes for manufacturing of functional layers are still being improved. For these reasons, also new evaluation methods for the assessment of prepared layers properties must be employed as well. For instance, the thickness of functional layer contributes significantly to the resulting physical properties of the printed system. Since the measured photoacoustic signal of each layer with different thickness was mutually distinguishable in relatively high range of modulation frequencies conducting polymers; printing; photoacoustics; thin layers
