eng The Assessment of Gravure Printed PEDOT:PSS Layers This paper deals with the preparation of thin and flexible layers of PEDOT:PSS, as well as their characterization. For the experiment, a commercial formulation of PEDOT:PSS was used (CleviosTM SV3 from Heraeus). The layers were printed on the small laboratory machine IGT gravure and afterwards on the large R2R gravure laboratory machine. The results obtained from the both machines are compared and discussed. For the assessment, various optical and spectroscopic methods were used, such as optical microscopy, UV-VIS spectroscopy and photoacoustics. The printed layers were evaluated by means of the stylus profiler as well. Some of the prepared layers showed very low thickness bellow 100 nm. The differences in the thickness could be successfully assessed by means of photoacoustic method. The aspects of the preparation, quality and structure of the prepared gravure printed PEDOT:PSS conductive layers are discussed in detail.
