eng Sensitive bead-based immunosensor for early stage detection of ovarian cancer Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of all cancer related mortality among women1. Since ovarian cancer is the asymptomatic at early stages, most patients present with advanced disease when diagnosed. Human epididymal protein-4 (HE4) is nowadays of great importance as new biomarker of ovarian cancer. HE4 is highly sensitive and more specific than currently used biomarker CA125. Level of HE4 in human blood correlates with the stage of disease and is also different in case of benign or malign form of disease2. Immunosensor developed by us is based on ELISA (using ALP-labeled antibodies), or QLISA (using QDslabeled antibodies) principle, depending on the used label of secondary antibodies. immunosensor, ovarian cancer, magnetic particles
