eng QUANTUM DOT-BASED ELECTROCHEMICAL IMMUNOSENSOR FOR QUANTIFICATION OF OVARIAN CANCER TUMOR MARKERS Electrochemical immunosensors in connection with quantum dots (QDs) represent smart devices which provide high sensitivity and specificity for detection of target analytes. However, the unavailability of commercial specific antibodies labelled by QDs result in the need of the introduction of various labeling methods. The main goal of the work was to implement new approach for antibody multilabeling alowing detection of extremely low levels of biomarkers, typical especially for early stage cancerous diseases. This technique essentially uses carbodiimide chemistry combined with magnetic bead-based separation. Proposed protocol brings several benefits such as protection of antibody active site, low costs, high purity and ready-to-use character comparing to commercially available kits. electrochemical detection; immunosensor; quantum dots
