eng Characterization of new designed Tramadol tablets containing Prosolv® and Disintequik ™ The aim of this study is to design and optimize the composition of controlled release drug formulations containing active substance Tramadol hydrochloride (TH) and the mixed dry binder Prosolv 90® or Disintequik ™ MCC 25. Dissolution profiles were studied in two different dissolution media (pH values of 1.2, and 7) using temperature 37˚C. All tests were carried out in accordance with the recommendation of Czech Pharmacopoeia 20091 and The United States Pharmacopoeia2 in the paddle apparatus (Sotax AT 7 Smart, Switzerland) at a stirring rate of 125 rpm. TH concentration was determined using HPLC with spectrophotometric detection at 271 nm. The active substance standard solutions were prepared by dissolving of 20 mg of TH reference standard in 100 ml of an appropriate dissolution medium. tramadol hydrochloride; dissolution;drug; controlled release
