eng	Optimizing of Selected Production Steps of (-)-Corey Lactone Diol	Optically pure or racemic (-)-Corey Lactone Diol (CAS 32233-40-2) can serve, e.g., as a key intermediate for production several human or veterinary prostaglandins. Synthetic pathway developed by Pfizer, in cooperation with E.J. Corey in 1973 uses commercially available norbornadiene as starting material for the preparation of this interesting molecule. But, hazardous solvents, from point of view of REACH, are used in nowdays technological process applied by Cayman Pharma Inc. This work deals with replacement of dangerous solvens for more friendly ones and verification of production steps in laboratory scale up to 100 g experiments, and later verification in technological scale by the Cayman Pharma Inc.
