eng Recyclable polystyrene-supported palladium catalyst for 1,4-addition of arylboronic acids to cyclic enones Palladium catalysed 1,4-addition of arylboronic acids to cyclic enones is one of the most investigated method for synthesis of all-carbon quaternary stereocenters. The biggest advantage of this type of reaction is remarkable tolerance to water and oxygen, which allows performing reaction under atmosphere of air. In our work we prepared 3 swellable polystyrene based pearl-like copolymers containing the PyOx type chiral ligand. To achieve various swellability, we used 3 structurally similar cross-linkers (divinylbenzene (DVB); 1,2-bis(4-vinylphenyl)ethane (BVPE) and 1,12-bis(4-vinylphenyl)dodecane (BVPC12)), differing in molecular length. Prepared heterogenous catalysts were tested in catalytic experiments, which shown reactivity and enantioselectivity comparable to the homogenous catalyst. The prepared catalysts were also successfully 6 times reused, but to maintain the activity of the catalyst, it is necessary to carry out its reoxidation after each use. The obtained results are promising for further development of flow reactor for asymmetric 1,4-addition of aryboronic acid to cyclic enones. polystyrene-supported palladium; 1,4-addition; arylboronic acid; enones
