eng A heterogeneous catalyst for palladium catalysed addition of arylboronic acids to β-nitrostyrenes Nitro group-containing compounds are useful intermediate in total synthesis, due to their ease of preparation and transformation into various compounds. One of the possible synthetic routes to the nitro-compounds is Hayashi-Miyaura addition of arylboronic acids to β-nitrostyrenes. One of the most successful works describing Hayashi-Miyaura addition to β nitrostyrenes has been publThis work focuses on the immobilisation of the above-mentioned catalytic system. Copolymerization strategy was chosen and a ligand bearing a styryl moiety was designed and prepared. Thusly prepared ligand was copolymerised, and several copolymers were prepared by the suspension radical copolymerisation. The most successful prepared copolymer can be used for Hayashi-Miyaura addition, and on the model reaction (Scheme 1), giving the products in good yields (up to 92 %) and enantioselectivity (up to 81 %) and can be successfully recycled.ished by He et al2. They described the use of oxazoline-isoquinoline ligand in combination with palladium(II) trifluoroacetate as an efficient catalyst. Palladium; addition; arylboronic acids; β-nitrostyrenes
