cze Molecularly Imprinted Polymers for Selective Extraction of Xenobiotics Covalently prepared molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were developed for the adsorption of 1-naphtaleneacetic acid (NAA). Molecular imprinting was performed using two different NAA derivatives. Both types of MIPs were able to adsorb >98% NAA from solution within 10 min and desorb it quantitatively, and can be used in at least 10 consecutive adsorption/desorption cycles. Ester-derived MIPs also showed selectivity for NAA in a mixture with other acids and were effective for continuous flow adsorption of NAA from the solution.
