International collaboration
The Institute cooperates closely with other institutions in the field of explosives focusing on research and development or teaching, mainly from Poland, Slovakia and Croatia. Cooperation with London Imperial College, related institutions in Belgium and Israel is developing. We also cooperate with the Institute of Forensic Science in Bratislava and the Military University of Technology in Warsaw. One of the results of the Institute's international activities, especially the cooperation with Polish colleagues, was the establishment of the Central European Journal of Energetic Materials (ISSN 1733-7178) in June 2004, an international journal sponsored and published chiefly by the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry in Warsaw. Since November 2012, the Institute has been cooperating with the NATO Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD CоE) in Trenčín to train NATO military personnel.
