Currently it is possible to study at the Department the three-year Bachelor's degree programme of Graphic Arts and Printing Technology, and subsequent full-time study two-year Master's programme of Graphic Arts and Printing Technology. In 2019, both forms were newly accredited for a further period of 10 years.
The graduate of Graphic Arts and Printing Technology Bachelor's degree programme has theoretical and practical knowledge of printing techniques and technologies, printing engineering, printing materials, computer technology focusing on the use of computers for prepress operations and electronic publishing, in the printing production management and in the basics of business economics and management. Graphic Arts Bachelors find jobs in printing offices/works as production technologists, as executives in DTP studios and advertising agencies, representatives of supplier companies in the field of graphic arts, senior technical editors in publishing houses as well as individual entrepreneurs in the field of graphic arts. The aim of the Graphic Arts and Printing Technology Master's degree branch of study is to educate qualified workers for a wide range of technical professions in the printing, advertising and packaging industry and information technologies. Graduates have a wide range of knowledge of printing techniques and technologies, information technologies, preparation and properties of printing materials, computer technology focusing on the use of computers for prepress operations and electronic publishing, in the printing production management and in the basics of business economics and management. The knowledge gained in theoretical courses in the field of macromolecular chemistry, physical chemistry, photography and colorimetry are a good basis for independent research work in this field.
