eng	Study of Bi2O3 Doped by Zr and Lu	This type of pigments was prepared by medium temperature calcination of the basic starting oxides (Bi2O3, Lu2O3 and ZrO2). The incorporation of doped ions in Bi2O3 changes the colour from yellow to orange and also contributes to a growth of their thermal stability. This property gives a direction for colouring ceramic glazes. These new pigments would be environmentally friendly because they would substitute the problematic pigments, especially chromate compounds.
