eng Influence of LiF on the Color Properties of the Perovskite Pigments with General Formula Lu0.98Ca0.02Fe0.9M0.1O3 Research of inorganic pigments deals with the synthesis of new pigments that give vibrant red and orange hues. These pigments should be environmentally friendly and highly thermally stable. One possibility, which could provide the desired shades, is the utilization of rare earth elements, and incorporated them into a suitable host lattice. The aim of this work was to examine influence of LiF (amount of 5 wt. %) on the color properties of pigments with general formula Ln0.98Ca0.02Fe0.9M0.1O3, where M are oxides of Sn, Bi, Sb, Zn, Co, Ti and two sources of Zr precursors - ZrO2 and Zr(SO4)2?4H2O. All pigments were prepared by the dry way i.e. homogenization in a mortar with a pestle and heated at temperatures 900 °C. Pigments were applied to the organic binding system in mass-tone and tone 1:1(with TiO2) and the ceramic glazes. The color of pigments was objectively evaluated with the help of apparatus ColorQuest XE. Phase composition of the samples was evaluated using X-ray diffraction analysis.
