eng FROM C,N-CHELATED GROUP 14 METAL COMPLEXES TO HYBRID AMIDINATO AND GUANIDINATO COMPLEXES CONTAINING AN ADJACENT DONOR GROUP; STRUCTURE AND REACTIVITY The chemistry of low valent metal complexes of group 14 heavier elements attracted considerable attention in the recent two decades. We continued the work of Angermund and others on C,N-chelated stannylene (Fig. 1A) and its reactivity using common reagents as for example chalcogens as well as less common species as Negishi reagent or silicon grease. In the present time, we follow the group 14 chemistry of compounds containing N,N-chelating (Fig. 1B), amidinato or guanidinato ligands (Fig 1C and D), and last but not least the area of so-called hybrid ligands' complexes which could have a compilation of electronic and steric behavior of the previously mentioned ones.
