In the next step these prepared oxazaborines were subjected to the Knoevenagel condensation with N,N-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde to form more conjugated system. Almost all the prepared oxazaborines and the products of the Knoevenagel condensation exhibited strong fluorescent properties in both the solid phase and in the rigid solution of 2-MeTHF at 77 K.
