eng CALCINATION AND REDUCTION OF Ni-Ce/Al2O3 CATALYST AS THE WAY TO INCREASE ITS CATALYTIC ACTIVITY IN DRY REFORMING OF METHANE The present study deals with the analysis of the effects of the calcination and reduction treatments on the catalytic properties of a Ni-Ce/Al2O3 catalyst used in the dry reforming of methane. Ni-Ce/Al2O3 catalyst with 11 wt. % Ni and 3 wt. % Ce was prepared by co impregnation method and calcined at 500 - 1000 °C in the flow of air. The DRM was carried out with and without previous reduction in a fixed-bed tubular reactor, using 20 mg of catalysts and a gas mixture CH4:CO2:He (16:16:68,100 ml/min) at 750 °C.
