Al distribution in high-silica zeolites (understood as presence of Al in form of single Al atoms vs Al-Si-Si-Al sequences in six-membered ring) strongly influences nature and performance of the catalytically active sites. Al distribution in zeolites is not controlled by statistical rules, but can be strongly influenced by organization of synthesis gel on an atomic level, provided by variations of synthesis procedures and reagents. Presented work provides deeper insight both into organization of Al atoms within the framework of silica-rich zeolites (ZSM-5, SSZ-13, BEA) and the methods, developed to control and analyze the Al distribution. zeolites; synthesis; active sites; Al atoms; silica-rich
