eng Degradation of Acid Green 25 in wastewater by advanced oxidation processes Acid green 25 is an aminoanthraquinone dye with high fastness, including light fastness. The high stability of this dye is due to the formation of a hydrogen bond between the amino group in position 1 and the carbonyl group. Dye is very permanent. According to the application in the textile industry, anthraquinone dyes can be divided into disperse, acidic, cationic and reactive. Acid green 25 is a cationic dye that is used to dye polyacrylonitrile fibers. For degradation of Acid Green 25 in model wastewater were chosen advanced oxidation processes. Hydrogen peroxide, which appears in certain reaction systems as part of AOPs effects excel especially in acidic solutions. Moreover, hydrogen peroxide in combination with UV radiation and as part of photo-Fenton reaction was chosen for degradation of Acid Green 25 in model wastewater. Kinetic decay was studied during experiments performed at different pH values, where pH values ranged around 3-11 and for photo-Fenton reaction 3-7. Kinetic experiments were performed on flow-through laboratory apparatus with 5 l electromagnetically stirred storage tank. This apparatus was equipped with low-pressure, encapsulated mercury lamp in stainless steel casing and with a diaphragm pump with bypass. dye, wastewater, advanced oxidation processes, hydrogen peroxide
